Ok, I got a free Audiovox MP1000 through an Altavista promo and it doesn't come with software for linux. If it's not too difficlut, I was going to try to write my own. (something very basic, like just adding and deleting tracks) I've asked audiovox on multiple occasions for the spec and in every reply they never address that. They just say there will be no linux support. Anyway, it was suggested that I try here since you guys have a lot of experience with parallel devices. Is it possible to "sniff" the commands being sent to the parallel port? If it's possible, would it then be reasonably simple to write a linux version of the software?

Thanks,
