I got my ScanJet 4200C working with Sane's (1.0.3 patched to use the 4200C)
|
|
<BR>
|
|
scanimage, and scanimage -L displays my scanner nicely, and scanimage scans
|
|
<BR>
|
|
an image fine. I just compiled and installed xsane 0.76 on Linux 2.4.3/i686
|
|
<BR>
|
|
(from Mandrake 8.0) and on starting it tells me that no devices are detected
|
|
<BR>
|
|
(whether I run as user or - dangerously! -as root). But scanimage still
|
|
<BR>
|
|
works. Any ideas anyone?
|
|
