Hello everyone,

<P>This is my first post to the mailing list so I'm sorry if this is well

treaded ground (after searching the archive I don't think so though). I
|
|
<BR>
|
|
want to develope a document imaging system for medical records here at
|
|
<BR>
|
|
the hospital I work for (as IS Manager). I have done some testing
|
|
<BR>
|
|
already using a flatbed scanner, some shell scripts I wrote, apache, and
|
|
<BR>
|
|
some thumbnail gallery apps. So far, all looks good and we think we
|
|
<BR>
|
|
want to invest in sheet feed scanner and cd burner. But, I have some
|
|
<BR>
|
|
questions....
|
|
<BR>
|
|
<P>1. how does sane handle scanning with an ADF? I want to be able to drop
|
|
<BR>
|
|
200 sheets in the feeder and let my script (which calls scanimage and
|
|
<BR>
|
|
uses convert to make JPGs) loop through them until it's empty.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
<P>2. What is a well supported scanner with a 250 sheet feeder available.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
I like the HPs (which look like a 50-page feeder though), but something
|
|
<BR>
|
|
a bit faster would be nice.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
<P>If anyone has done a similiar project please let me know.
|
|
