This is interesting. Thank you for all the fine links!

<P>Perhaps a silly question from a colour amateur: Would it be possible
<BR>
to print a couple of colour squares (full red, green, blue, or
<BR>
magenta, cyan, yellow, black) and scan them in? Then you know at
<BR>
least how to adjust the colour data to make the print look like
<BR>
the original.
<BR>
<P>The impression from a monitor depends much on the lighting in the
<BR>
environment. Furthermore, I find it difficult enough to reproduce
<BR>
a simple gray scale well, let alone all the colours ...
<BR>
