<P>I have upgraded my kernel from 2.2.14 to 2.4.0-test6, and also I have

installed the sane rpm (sane-1.0.3-2.i386.rpm), when I try xscanimage I

|
get the following errors
|
|

|
|
xscanimage is a gimp plug-in and must be run by the gimp to be used
|
|
<BR>
|
|
xscanimage: no devices available.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
<P>Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkmain.c: line 534 (gtk_main_quit): assertion
|
|
<BR>
|
|
`main_loops != NULL' failed.
|
|

<P>What could be the reason, my scanner is hp6350C, what is missing. can

somebody help me out on this.
