I have an HP ScanJet 3300 which I would like to get working with SANE. I
|
|
<BR>
|
|
am willing (though very time-constrained) to write a backend for it, but I
|
|
<BR>
|
|
am still in the collecting information phase. Here is what I have found
|
|

|
|
out so far...
|
|
<BR>
|
|
<P>1) HP has not been forthcoming with the technical documents, so it looks
|
|
<BR>
|
|
like a reverse-engineering job.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
<P>2) The scanner has 4 main chips on it.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
a) is 256k buffer.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
b) appears to be the main scanner control chip.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
c) is an 8bit A/D.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
d) appears to be the USB interface controller.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
