<P>Bingo. That's exactly where I have my immediate problem. I get a small
<BR>
colour offset between R, G and B. Whilst I could fix it by forcing
<BR>
adjustments that suit my scanner, I would rather understand the original
<BR>
author's intentions and do it right. I don't understand what his changes are
<BR>
trying to achieve. E.g. is the &quot;#ifdef OBSOLETE&quot; code really obsolete and to
<BR>
be removed? This includes the bit that interrogates the scanner for the
<BR>
colour offsets. I'm puzzled about his intentions.
<BR>
<P>The colour offset isn't my only problem, but its the one that stops the code
<BR>
being useful. The scanner seems to get into some kind of screwed up state
<BR>
from time to time, but that's a second tier issue.
<BR>
<P>If Kevin really has gone to a better place - more money, less scanner making
<BR>
nasty noises as they hit the end-stops, you know the kind of thing - maybe
<BR>
its time for someone else to pick up the gauntlet.
<BR>
<P>All the best,
<BR>
Steve
