<P>this could be caused by a bug with an old hp-backend. Remove the line

<BR>

|
scsi HP from hp.conf-file.
|
|

<P>Create the link as root with

<P>ln -s /dev/sgc /dev/scanner
|
|
<BR>
|
|
<P>But if find-scanner lists "unknown device", there could be additional
|
|
<BR>
|
|
problems.
