<P>
Hi!
<BR>
<P>I am using xsane 0.35 and sane-1.0.1
<BR>
<P>When I start a color scan, the scanner first reads the "red"-data. Then the
<BR>
scanner starts the second pass for "green", eventhough the progress-bar hasn't
<BR>
reach its end.
<BR>
The progressbar for "green" doesn`t show anything and the following error pops
<BR>
up: "Error during read: Error during device I/O"
<BR>
Then it starts reading the red data again and again...
<BR>
<P>What's happening?
<BR>
This scanner works fine with Arno Augustin's Xscan - and it worked on my old
<BR>
2.0.x Linux with sane-0.7x.
<BR>
<P>sane-0.7x doesn't work anymore now.
<BR>
<P>Here the details of my system:
<BR>
Kernel 2.2.15
<BR>
I changed in /usr/src/linux/include/scsi/sg.h
<BR>
#define SG_BIG_BUFF 32768
<BR>
to
<BR>
#define SG_BIG_BUFF 130560
<BR>
and the same in /usr/include/scsi/sg.h
<BR>
<P>as module: SCSI-Driver 53c7,8xx (I have a SymbiosLogic 810 PCI, which doesn't
<BR>
work with the ncr53c800 module)
<BR>
The options are
<BR>
always negotiate synchr. transfer (N)
<BR>
allow FAST-SCSI (N)
<BR>
allow DISCONNECT (N)

<P>There is also an CD-Writer an a ZIP-drive on the scsi-adapter
<BR>
<P>"cat /proc/scsi/scsi" tells me:

<P>I hope this is a known and easy to solve problem.
<BR>

I am trying now for a couple days to solve it on my own - but without any

<BR>

success.

<P>Thank you for any help,
