> hi
>
> I have been working on my configuration of my
> snapscan310 on adaptec1505
> (already de-pnp'd) for quite a while. It
> registers now as scsi-device
> while
> booting 2.2.10 (sane 1.0.5?) and is found
> with suse yast, scsi-check,
> etc.
> user rights are ok, I think.
> using xscanimage the scanner yields a good
> preview (both colour and
> greyscale) but locks up when trying to scan
> (sled juts forward, then
> stops).
> scanimage freezes showing several numbers,
> have to try -v tomorrow
> I'd be glad for help

Try downgrading the aha152x driver to the version
that shipped with 2.2.5.
I found that hint on http://www.torque.net/sg/
and my problems with the aha152x were gone
