I have seen this error on xsane-0.41 on Solaris 2.6 with Glib/gtk 1.2.26. The<br>
|
|
problem manifests itself on machines with a 24 bit graphics card with the<br>
|
|
Openwindows X server. By default the server has an 8 bit root window although<br>
|
|
a 24 bit visual is available. The preview window seems to try to open a 24 bit<br>
|
|
window but doesn't do all of the the right incantations to prevent an X<br>
|
|
BadMatch error. The error does not occur if the server is started with the<br>
|
|
options to use 24 bits for the root window. I'm not sure if the bug is in<br>
|
|
xsane, gtk, or glib.<br>
