> Recently I have bougth an Epson GT-7000Photo scanner. I decide buy this
> scanner after searching in SANE list of supported scanners, because I
> saw
> that the Epson GT-7000 was supported. I need this kind of scanner
> because I need
> to scan slides and negative films.
Hi

I'm not surprised that the GT7000 film adaptor is not supported
by the released driver. I have a GT7000 without the adaptor
and not all the features are supported in that.

There was a note a while ago from (I think) Clive Stubbings
saying that he had modified the driver to work with his Epson
Filmscan photo scanner. It may well be that this will work
or can be made to work on yours as well. I have looked at his
code and made it work with my GT7000 but I don't have the film
adaptor (yet!)

An interesting thing to do would be to set the debug environment
variable (export SANE_DEBUG_EPSON=128) and try again. This will
output lots of debugging information. It would be interesting
to see what the scanner identifier is (for the base GT7000
it is "B7" and the filmscan is "F5"). The old driver only
supports up to B6.

Regards
