> hi-
> I have a dell laptop with an adaptec slimSCSI pc card that is attached to
> my epson 636 perfection scanner(works great with WinXX). I am running
> RedHat 6.0 kernel 2.2.10 and the SCSI card works well with my SCSI Zip and
> the scanner reset upon bootup. When I execute the find - scanner command it
> find the scanner and everything looks ok. But when in start xscanimages
> the only devices listed are the pnms, nothing else.
> Does anyone have any ideas.
>
> Thanks--Pam

edit /etc/sane.d/dll.conf

comment out all but the ones you want (epson)
Then make sure epson.conf is correct.

I had the same problem with umax, and apparently xscanimage times out
before it got to umax.

I also moved umax to the top of the list.
