I don't know anything about the BSD Kernel, but with Linux you have to<br>
|
||
compile the kernel with "generic scsi support", which is needed to use any<br>
|
||
other scsi devices that is not a hd's and cd's. <br>
|
||
<p>
|
||
The message you see on bootup is the output of the scsi-controller's<br>
|
||
bus-scan, this means your scanner is detected correctly by the hardware,<br>
|
||
but this says nothing about whether it is supported by your current<br>
|
||
software setup. <br>
