If they're scsi then yes, they all the have same pinouts. That "weird and stupid" connector was/is a standard on old MAC's. I assume the reason it was used on the scanners is that scanners can't send more data then 10/mb/sec and that they can intermix the slot/connector with the parallel port models of their scanner, saving on production costs. Good for them, not that good for us.<br>

Hello.<br>

This is, strictly speaking, entirely off topic,<br>
but fairly important information if you actually<br>
want to use a low-end "SCSI" scanner under Linux,<br>
such as UMAX1220S, Agfa 1236S, Microtek X6 etc.<br>
<p>
First of all: do scanners with the weird and stupid<br>
(in the full technical sense) 25-way D-connectors all<br>
have the same pinout ?<br>
