When I run xscanimage, I get:<br>
|
|
xscanimage: no devices available. <br>
|
|
<p>
|
|
I have an Acer 320p scanner and am running redhat 5.2<br>
|
|
I recompiled my kernel to add support for parallel ports. <br>
|
|
I read all the docs I could find before consulting you people.<br>
|
|
/dev/scanner is a symlink pointing to /dev/lp1<br>
|
|
I have the correct read/write permissions to /dev/lp1 (but ran xscanimage as<br>
|
|
root anyway just to prove it).<br>
|
|
I checked the dll.conf file and uncommented only one line at a time, but got<br>
|
|
the same results for each device I attempted to use. I looked at the config<br>
|
|
file for each device and pointed them to work with a parallel port device (for<br>
|
|
those which it applied to). I get the same results every time. Any ideas?<br>
|
|
