 Hello all of you,<br>
 <p>
 First, thank you for giving us SANE.<br>
 <p>
 It seems, and a thread in the list confirmed me, that the Snapscan<br>
 backend doesn't work any more on recent kernels.<br>
 <p>
 I understand it has to do with changes to the sg driver, but I cannot<br>
 pinpoint which ones, and releases of cdrecord, which makes heavy<br>
 use of the sg driver, seems not affected.<br>
 <p>
 What is the issue ? Is someone working on it ? Could I help ?<br>
 Where should I start ?<br>
 <p>
 All I get is a Snapscan 600 connected to a AHA2040, a system<br>
 with a 2.2.10 kernel, lot of spare disk space and little time...but<br>
 I like things working :-)<br>
