I was glad when I first heard about the SANE project, that it has made<br>
|
||
it possible for linux users to easily have access to scanners.<br>
|
||
However, when I went through the available list of scanners, mine was<br>
|
||
not on it.<br>
|
||
<p>
|
||
Guess My scanner is too local - It's an InterScan 636p plus by<br>
|
||
IntreSource, a singaporean company. Coupled with the lack of hackers<br>
|
||
in singapore, I don't really think I can get to use my scanner on<br>
|
||
Linux. <br>
|
||
<p>
|
||
However, I wonder if anyone of you out there can tell me what kind of<br>
|
||
info I can post on mailing lists that hackers out there may be kind<br>
|
||
to write drivers for fellow users of my scanner?<br>
|
||
<p>
|
||

It's seem that from the list of scanners, canon 600 seems to<br>

||
be a closest match to our model. You may like to try that but<br>
|
||
we do not promise any result.<br>
|
||

||
As far as i know, we do not have any intention of developing<br>
|
||
of Linux drivers in the coming future. Maybe you'd like to<br>
|
||
enlighten me what kind of specs is required for the linux<br>
|
||
community and i will check if the R&D is willing to release<br>
|
||
the information.<br>
