> Hi Petter,I think it is not necessary because for most of the
> sourcecode there is one person who is developing it. I am
> programming the umax-backend and it would be a lot of work for me to
> keep the code clean if other people change the code. It is much
> better for me

There is no need to allow / accept other then the maintainer to change
backend code. You developers must decide how to organize yourself,
and I would expect nothing to change with areas of responsibility.
The point is to ease source synchronization and make it more available
to all.

> if someone who likes to have changed something in the umax-code,
> sends me a mail with a diff-file or describers what should be
> changed, so I am always informed about every change in the code.

There is no reason for this not to continue.

I would expect that David would be allowed to change any code, and the
driver maintainers are allowed to change their driver, but it is up to
you do decide.
