> >> Greeting to all,
> >> I have problems with compiling sane-1.00.
> >> I used to have sane-0.74 and it worked all right.
> >> Right now, after untaring the sources and starting configure I get no
> >> errors. But compilation fails at xscanimage in libgimp.so. It complains
> >> about thing that are undefined.
> >>
> >> I have upgraded gimp-libgimp-99.28 to gimp-libgimp-1.0.6 with no results
> >> to the above. My system is Redhat 5.1.
> >>
> >> Excuse my chaotic description of the problem.
> >
> > Hi Benedict,
> >
> > call
> > ldconfig
> > as root and then (as normal user) in the sane-1.00 directory:
> > make distclean
> > configure
> > make
> >
> > may be that helps!
> >
> > Bye
> > Oliver
>
> thankyou Oliver. i joined sane-devel@ to ask that same question. and now i've
> managed to 'make' successfully.
Hmm...

I'm still using 5.1 (will upgrade to 5.2 tomorrow for gnome). I
compiled sane-1.0 with no problems (It didn't see my gimp. But, I
don't care.) It appears to work. Unfortunately, My Microtek v310P
isn't supported, yet. (That's why I joined.)

Try the latest version.
