Yes, there already is the "advanced" option concept. If you mark an<br>
option as advanced, graphical interfaces such as xscanimage will<br>
display the option only if the users requests them (in xscanimage, you<br>
have to select "Preferences-&gt;Show advanced options"). Again, this<br>
doesn't obviate the need for Oliver's enhancements, but it does help<br>
new users.<br>
