> Hi,
>
> My Umax Astra 1200S works since 6 months with its own SCSI card, but it
> works bad and slowly under Linux. Now I got a Tekram DC 390(T) SCSI card.
> The card is my only one and the scanner is the only SCSI device. The card
> seems to work fine with the Tekram driver from 2.0.35, but the scanner is
> not recognized by SANE (´scanimage -L´ lists no devices). /proc/scsi/scsi
> shows this:
Yesterday I got sane-pre1.0 and tried to find the scanner with
find-scanner (as root), but it interprets it as a scsi-disk ->???

Is it possible that I make any mistakes with the scsi-card? I haven´t any
experiences with scsi and I tried many options in the scsi-bios without
success. The Tekram is a Fast SCSI controller with 50 pin interface and
the scanner is a SCSI II device with 25 pins. I got a cheap SCSI II
adapter cable 25/50 to plug in, is this OK.

Regards,
