If you will turn on debugging by setting the following environment variable:

SANE_DEBUG_ARTEC=128

and then email me the output of a xscanimage session, I will try to take a
look and see if I can figure out what's going on. I don't know if there
are any differences between the A6000C and A6000C+, but there may be
something subtle. The '+' was added for some reason. :-) I don't think
the docs Artec sent me mention a plain A6000C. It probably has to do with
the fact that like you said, the A6000C is a 3-pass and the A6000C+ is a
single pass scanner. I'm taking at look at the other backends to see how
I can implement the 3-pass code into the Artec backend.

Can you try scanning in greyscale, lineart, and halftone modes to see if any
of those work? If it is a 3-pass vs 1-pass problem I would think that it
should not affect those modes.
