I have version 0.72 (and will get 0.73 if it helps) and want to use PINT
as it would seem to be the most appropriate for my BlackWidow flatbed. Is
that the case ?

However the configure script disables PINT it if sys/scanio.h is not
found. Do I need this and where does it come from ?

System is linux/intel 2.0.34 (much changed Redhat 4)

Cheers,

Jon
