What type of SCSI card do you have? What does `cat /proc/scsi/scsi`<br>
|
|
display? (It should list devices on the SCSI chain.)<br>
|
|

Have you downloaded the SANE source? If not, here's how to do it:<br>
|
|
cd /tmp<br>
|
|
lynx <a href="ftp://ftp.mostang.com/pub/sane/sane-0.74.tar.gz">ftp://ftp.mostang.com/pub/sane/sane-0.74.tar.gz</a> -source >sane.tgz<br>
|
|
tar xzf sane.tgz <br>
|
|
cd sane-0.74<br>
|
|
./configure<br>
|
|
make<br>
|
|
su<br>
|
|
Password: [enter root passwd]<br>
|
|
make install<br>
|
|
exit<br>
|
|
rehash<br>
|
|
xscanimage & [make sure X is running]<br>
|
|
