There is the SANE API documentation available in the Documentation<br>
|
|
section of the SANE homepage. It describes the API that a backend is<br>
|
|
supposed to implement, the datatypes, and that sort of thing. It<br>
|
|
doesn't describe implementation techniques or how to use the sane_scsi<br>
|
|
stuff, but that can be gleaned by looking at a couple of the backends<br>
|
|
and consulting the programming docs for your scanner.<br>
|
|
<p>
|
|
As far as I know, there is no beginner's guide to writing a SANE<br>
|
|
backend.<br>
