Hi ,

I've got a LEO Scan S3 - SCSI II scanner.

I have SANE 0.73 on my system.

My /dev/scanner is linked to /dev/sga

when I say find-scanner, the find scanner is stuck after the following
messages, I have to us ^c to break the loop

find-scanner: searching for scanners:
find-scanner: checking /dev/scanner...

my /proc/scsi/scsi reads the following

Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 06 Lun: 00
Vendor: LEO Model: LEOScan-S3 Rev: 3.01
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02

my /proc/scsi/g_NCR5380/0 is as follows
(http://www.schwaben.de/home/bgt/ingmar/mustek-scsi.html, has a
patch which recognizes my DTC3181E as a NCR5800 SCSI-II card).

SCSI host number 0 : Generic NCR5380/NCR53C400 Scsi Driver
Generic NCR5380 driver version 1
NCR5380 core version 7
NO NCR53C400 driver extensions
Using port mapping at port 0x240, no interrupt
REQ not asserted, phase unknown.
host number 0 destination target 6, lun 0
command = 0x0a 00 00 00 09 00
issue_queue
disconnected_queue

When I purchased the scanner, it came with TWAIN drivers and the SCSI
II card for Windows95. I am taking
all this pain to see if I can make this scanner work with linux because,
I do not prefer to work in Windows 95 (doze ..).

Is there any way, I can make my scanner work with SANE. ? Also, some of
the MUSTEK scanners come with a SCSI II + TWAIN drivers combination
-> do they work with SANE ?

Any help or feedback is greatly appreciated.
