Here's the reply I recieved from someone at HP after a bit of
back-and-forth inquiring about developing drivers for their all-in-one
printer/scanner/copier 300-series, which uses a parallel port interface.

>> or can you not answer this because if you do, a couple of guys named
>> Bruno and Guido will come to take your kneecaps off and bring them back
>> to Redmond?
>
>LOL - Bruno has been promoted to VP of Public Relations and Guido has
>not been heard from in weeks (last seen shadowing the AG).
>
>There are no resources generally available. There is a program which
>you may want to take advantage of through HP's ISV (Independent Software
>Vendor)group. There are certain criteria that you have to meet, one of
>which is that you are making a product for public consumption and that
>you will support that product. You can contact the ISV group by calling
>(970) 350-4393.
>
>Good luck!

So a question we hit here is, is there anyone willing to "support that
product"? Can we sign up RedHat or something? ;)
