To SANE developers and users;<br>

RE: SANE 0.72 (UMAX/Agfa driver)compatibility with LinoColor Jade(2) or<br>
|
||
Agfa's SnapScan600.<br>
|
||

||
My query is specific to one point: Confirmation that LinoColors'<br>
|
||
Jade(2) or Agfas' SnapScan600 and StudioStar are supported and fully<br>
|
||
functional. I have everything set up-software that is- courtesy of<br>
|
||
Michael Sweets IRIX.tardist,(my gratitude to him for this and his<br>
|
||
assistance.) <br>

My system:<br>
|
||
Single Workstation<br>
|
||
SGI O2 IRIX 6.3 <br>
|
||
SANE 0.72 <br>
|
||
GIMP 0.99.29 <br>
|
||
gtk 1.0.1<br>
|
||

||
I had read-from just a few words, "sane-umax for UMAX scanners and<br>
|
||
Linotype Hell Jade" and the supported scanner list link to this, as well<br>
|
||
as the Agfa 0.4 backend information on the SANE backends web page, but I<br>
|
||
was naturally wondering if someone might be able to confirm from actual<br>
|
||
experience or related correspondences that the scanners (I have<br>
|
||
mentioned) will function appropriately with sane 0.72 under IRIX, or<br>
|
||
not. <br>
|
||
My first choice is the Jade(2). But before I make the purchase I need<br>
|
||
to know current facts.<br>
|
||
Also, details as to if the drivers deliver complete functionality from<br>
|
||
the scanners attributes,ie; 600x1200dpi, 30bit, et cetera,. would be<br>
|
||
helpful <br>
|
||
