Hi,

First, if this is off-topic and I'm just wasting bandwidth, please flame
me PRIVATELY.

Second, I have a Highscreen Realscan flatbed scanner. By digging in the
archives, I get the impression that this scanner is can be utilized by
the Microtek-driver.

So I have played around with xscanimage but cannot get my scanner to
work ...

Symptoms:

- I can acquire previews in Gray, Halftone and Lineart modes.
- I cannot acquire preview in Color mode. It shows three smaller images
side by side, which somehow looks like the image ...
(and by studying the output log below you'll find that fast color
prescan isn't supported. Strange. It works under Windows 95 :-(
- I cannot do a real scan. xscanimage starts the scanner and then
stops it again after 2-3 seconds. xscanimage shows a dialog which is
destroyed in the same instant.

Output:

- Here's the output of xscanimage >scan.log 2>&1
