Entschuldigen Sie bitte den armen Deutschen. Ich verwende die Alta<br>
           Vistaübersetzerweb site zu gelesen und reagiere auf Ihre<br>
Meldung, und ich weiß,<br>
           daß manchmal sie nicht tadellos verständliche Ausgabe festlegt. <br>
<p>
           Sie erwähnten ein Problem: wenn Sie Ihren Scanner einschalten<br>
lassen, BEVOR<br>
           Sie den Computer einschalten, hat der Computer keine Energie.<br>
Die gleiche<br>
           Sache geschieht mir -- der einzige Unterschied ist, daß, in<br>
meinem Fall, mein<br>
           Laufwerk Iomega Jaz, wenn es vor dem Computer eingeschalten<br>
wird, den<br>
           Computer nicht oben anschalten läßt. Ich muß den Computer<br>
einschalten zuerst,<br>
           dann einschalte schnell das Laufwerk Jaz, um es zu erhalten, um<br>
richtig zu<br>
           arbeiten. <br>
<p>
           Ich verwende auch eine Karte Adaptec SCSI, in meinem Fall, das<br>
           AHA-2940AU (schmales UltraSCSI). <br>
<p>
           Dieses ist vermutlich nicht von vieler Hilfe zu Ihnen, aber<br>
mindestens jetzt Sie<br>
           wissen, daß jemand anderes auch dieses Problem hat und daß es<br>
vermutlich nicht<br>
           ein Scanner oder ein GESUNDES in Verbindung stehendes Problem<br>
ist. <br>

           AltaVista-Übersetzer erledigt eine gute genug Arbeit, daß ich<br>

           Please excuse the poor German. I am using the Alta Vista<br>
translator web site to<br>
           both read and respond to your message, and I know that<br>
sometimes it does not<br>
           generate perfectly understandable output. <br>
<p>
           You mentioned a problem: when you have your scanner turned on<br>
BEFORE you<br>
           turn the computer on, the computer does not have any power. The<br>
same thing<br>
           happens to me -- the only difference is that, in my case, my<br>
Iomega Jaz drive, if it<br>
           is turned on before the computer, will not allow the computer<br>
to power up. I have<br>
           to turn the computer on first, then quickly turn the Jaz drive<br>
on, in order to get it to<br>
           work properly. <br>
<p>
           I am also using an Adaptec SCSI card, in my case, the<br>
AHA-2940AU (narrow<br>
           UltraSCSI). <br>
<p>
           This probably is not of much help to you, but at least now you<br>
know that someone<br>
           else also has this problem, and that it is probably not a<br>
scanner or SANE related<br>
