I'd like to buy a scanner, and therefore tried to look around the<br>
|
||
sane site, but didn't find clear-cut answers. I'd be therefore grateful to<br>
|
||
anybody who could tell me (maybe via private mail, to avoid list<br>
|
||
congestion?) how well their owned scanner does with sane, and on its own<br>
|
||
(I've heard horror stories about some SANE supported manufacturers...).<br>
|
||
What I'd like to get is an economic thing, with a fair resolution, maybe<br>
|
||
30bpp, if I could afford it, and if it makes sense to SANE, but, most<br>
|
||
important, with a transparecy adapter supported by SANE, since the very<br>
|
||
first reason to get the scanner would be to scan a fair number of big<br>
|
||
painting reproductions (something like 4''x6'' dias...)<br>
|
||
