That's a known problem. I think someone (Dairiki?) started re-writing<br>

the preview code, but I'm not sure what the current status is.<br>

xscanimage would greatly benefit from having someone who's really into<br>

|
GUI programming. I took over maintenance of it when the original<br>
|
|
authors became distracted with other work, but I'm not a GUI person<br>
|
|
and would be happy if someone else took it under his/her wings.<br>
