Subject: HP NCR 53c400a SCSI card under Linux anyone?

>Hello,
>
>I've been trying to get the SCSI card that originally came with my HP
>ScanJet IIcx to work under Linux-2.0.33. Contrary to what I believed
>before, it seems there are patches that enable support for this card.
>
>Despite generous attempts by someone with an almost identical down to
>the chip-level card to get this one to work, I haven't been able to
>get it initialized properly.
>
>Does anyone have such a card, running under Linux, and could help me
>out with details as to the configuration, jumper settings, and so on?
>And, are there people on this list who would be interested in getting
>it to work but didn't know until now there was a driver for it?
>Please contact me by personal mail as I don't think this is of general
>interest.
>
>For the record, the WWW page with the SCSI driver patch is at
>http://www.leo.org/~loescher/tips.html (look for 53c400a). Sorry,
>it's german only.
