Ok, contrary to my previous message, I have found out that the tekram<br>
|
|
driver is specifically for tekram cards. Well, it's worse than that.<br>
|
|
They have two drivers for different 53c8xx-based cards of theirs, and<br>
|
|
one is slated for inclusion in 2.0.31, and one is not. Their cards<br>
|
|
do not work well under the standard ncr53c8xx driver, and the tekram<br>
|
|
drivers do not support other manufacturers' cards very well (at all?).<br>
|
|
<p>
|
|
Blech! *Four* drivers for one chipset family. What a mess. We'll<br>
|
|
see what happens.<br>
