Dear Michael,

> The xxxP versions are parallel-port versions,
I already recognized it, but that was after I sent my mail ;-) !

> There is someone considering
> working on figuring out whether the xxxP versions use a standard
> parallel-to-SCSI converter that could be supported by the Linux
> SCSI layer, but that kind of support, if it ever does exist, is
> probably a long way off still.
I think a scsi-to-parallel driver already exists under linux
(I think I read about a parallel ZIP drive working with linux).

Does anybody know if thats right and how that works? Perhaps
thats a driver that does all the work and for the software it
is like a scsi-device with a special name like /dev/parscsi,
then it should be no (big) problem.

> I got the latest versions of their documents recently. No obvious
> changes that I can see vis-a-vis the Astra SCSI scanners, though
> I haven't looked hard yet.
Please could you mail it to me!

Bye
Oliver
